We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the firm’s compliance and AML efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, assisting with client onboarding, and maintaining accurate compliance records. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compliance, risk management, and regulatory monitoring within a fast-growing firm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the firm’s compliance and AML framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure day-to-day compliance with Cyprus AML Law, EU Directives, and internal policies.
- Perform KYC/CDD/EDD, client onboarding, and ongoing monitoring reviews.
- Conduct transaction monitoring, review client activity, and identify unusual or suspicious transactions.
- Escalate high-risk or suspicious activities and assist with internal investigations.
- Conduct risk assessments, economic profiling, and client risk classification.
- Perform PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening and document findings.
- Support the review and updating of AML policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance and AML reports for management.
- Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and sanctions lists.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Law or in any related filed.
- 1-2 years’ experience in compliance or AML.
- Knowledge of Cyprus AML/CFT laws, EU Directives, and sanctions.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
